The color of the dairy-free mint chip ice cream was spot on, and the creamy coconut base gave a rich and creamy mouthfeel, which paired well with the sweet maple and hints of vanilla.
Our only qualm about this flavor would be to have shaved chocolate rather than chips for a more chocolatey coverage. We also recommend being patient and leaving the pint out on the counter to soften before diving in, or you’ll find that the ice cream more on the icy side.
Vanilla and Salted Swirled Black Sesame

We’re not going to lie. We were slightly apprehensive about the Vanilla + Salted, Swirled Black Sesame Scoops flavor. Although it resembles cookies and cream, the black sesame bit, threw us off just a tad. How good could black sesame seeds in ice cream be?
Surprisingly, this flavor turned out to be one of our favorites, if not the best! The soft, light flavors of vanilla and coconut cream, were complemented by the subtle nutty and crunchy ripples of the black sesame seeds dotted throughout the ice cream.
Strawberry and Rich, Rippled Berry Compote

Just looking at Strawberry + Rich, Rippled Berry Compote, you can get a pretty good idea about what this vegan ice cream may taste like.
It’s the most straight forward out of the Scoop flavors, and the safest flavor approval wise, being that it’s fruit-based. There’s not much that can go wrong here.
Just as we had assumed, the strawberry flavored ice cream, was pleasantly delicious, both sweet and tart with generous chunks of both strawberry and dragonfruit. We loved how this particular flavor of fruity ice cream wasn’t overly sweet like some fruit-flavored ice cream, which made it extremely refreshing. However, we’re not certain that it’s worth the $9 price tag as you can find similar fruity non-dairy ice creams at local grocers.

For chocoholics the Chocolate + Ooey, Gooey, Midnight Fudge scoops flavor is the main event! Daily Harvest’s decadent chocolate flavor may make you stop lusting after Ben and Jerry’s once and for all!
Not just your simple chocolate pint, the Chocolate + Ooey, Gooey, Midnight Fudge scoop features unusual, delicious blends of creamy coconut, maple, cacao, avocado, pine pollen, and vanilla.
This ice cream was without a doubt, rich and chocolatey, due to the avocado. However, we wouldn’t describe this pint as ooey and gooey, but instead having a gelato-like mouthfeel. Still, this was a terrific alternative to your typical grocery store, almond milk, cashew milk, or coconut milk-based non-dairy ice cream.
All in all, we recommend Daily Harvest’s dairy-free Scoops ice cream, especially for individuals that truly need an alternative to traditional ice cream, as Scoops does offer some unique flavors that you wouldn’t find at your local grocery store.
