While Xian Lim is grateful for the opportunities he received in GMA, he hoped that he would take charge of directing Kapuso teleserye someday as filmmaking “fuels his soul.”
Lim expressed his gratitude to his home network during the press conference for “Love. Die. Repeat.” while showing his intention to direct a Kapuso series in the future.
“Sana po, nananawagan po ako (I hope, I call for it),” he said while laughing, in response to a question about possible filmmaking opportunities in the Kapuso network.
“I’m very grateful. First of all, I want to say that I’m very grateful to GMA. Like “Love. Die. Repeat.” this was the first show that they offered to me. I feel really grateful and I feel really fulfilled,” he continued.
The drama, which premiered last Jan. 15, also stars Jennylyn Mercardo in her small-screen comeback. “Love. Die. Repeat.” revolves around Angela’s (Mercado) desperation to turn back time to bring back her husband Bernard (Lim) from the dead, but discovers secrets along the way.
Aside from Lim and Mercado, the drama also stars Ina Feleo, Mike Tan, Nonie Buencamino, and Malou de Guzman.
Meanwhile, the actor admitted that directing “makes him happy,” and that he already had an opportunity to direct an episode of the anthology series “Wish Ko Lang” in September 2022.
“In terms of genres in directing, I did a project with them last year, isang episode ng ‘Wish Ko Lang.’ Nagkaroon ako ng pagkakatoon d’un. Pero sana,” he proudly beamed, adding that he even asks for pointers from “Love. Die. Repeat.” director Jerry Lopez Sineneng behind the scenes.
“Sana po may projects where I can do directing because it is what fuels my soul. Talagang masaya-masaya ako when I direct,” he further added.

Meanwhile, Lim said he’s interested in starring in projects of the action and “dark” genres in future projects as it’s something he hasn’t done before.
“I think kung makakuha ko naman ang (I think I can pull off) something dark. In the future, hopefully,” he ended.
