YG Entertainment has announced its plans in 2024, including debuting a new group and promoting BABYMONSTER.
On January 23, YG Entertainment released an official statement about its plans for 2024. Here, it is revealed that Yang Hyun-suk buys 20 billion won of YG shares and is planning various activities for YG artists.
In this statement, the company officially confirmed the release of a 2nd new song on February 1 and a first mini-album on April 1 for the global sensation girl group, BABYMONSTER. Additionally, YG claimed that it “plans to accelerate BABYMONSTER’s domestic and international activities with a detailed roadmap.”
Meanwhile, YG boy group TREASURE will focus on preparing for a new song after completing their 2nd large-scale Japan tour scheduled until early March. The group will also launch various projects for global market expansion until the end of the year.
Finally, a YG Entertainment representative stated, “We aim to announce the debut of more than one rookie group by the end of 2024, and are starting a project for discovering and nurturing global rookies through domestic and overseas auditions.”
“By diversifying the activities of artists and targeting the global market this year, we will secure new growth momentum and continuously enhance shareholder value,” the agency also stated.
