Artist Creates Delicious-Looking Crochet Food And You Will Probably Want To Eat It (30 Pics)

Most of us have a hobby. Some play musical instruments, some computer games or take up painting, drawing. Some instead spend their free time crocheting. It’s a relaxing hobby and you might even get a scarf or blanket out of it! However, teacher and artist Normalynn Ablao took crocheting to another level and showed what you can really do with it.

Normalynn creates amazing-looking food out of thread. Her creations are so delicious-looking they often leave you hungry. But taking a bite would probably be a bad idea. The artist even turns her crochet cakes into purses and all kinds of other useful things. Normalynn sells the patterns she uses on her Etsy page, so if you want to make something similar, check it out.

On her website, Normalynn writes: “Crochet Cake Sachets was born in 2006 and is channeled to solely benefit charities. Its original website of 9 years was www.normalynn.info and served as a great tool for this personal project in helping promote crafters and crocheters to benefit non-profit organizations. The new goal now is to have my site web-based and at no cost to continue providing free patterns!”

“I am a non-profit intermediary helping to raise funds for non-profit organizations. The reward is fourfold: crocheting is therapeutic; contributing to charity provides the support it needs; helping to improve the welfare of the environment, people and animals are self-fulfilling; and all makes me happier each time. Every cake is 100% cotton, handmade, and crocheted by me. It’s also my way of being able to enjoy sweets while skirting the calories, though I instantly succumb to chocolate-dipped organic strawberries. I hope you enjoy the guilt-free cakes as much as I enjoyed making them!”
