Lee Seung Gi’s U.S. concert schedule has become the center of controversy, with conflicting claims from both his agency and the concert planning agency
The dispute began when Lee Seung Gi’s agency, Human Made, stated that they had not agreed to a fan meeting as part of the U.S. concert schedule. In response, Hugh Ent countered that they had already shared this information with Human Made before Lee Seung Gi’s departure.
Hugh Ent revealed that originally, they had planned Lee Seung Gi’s concerts in Los Angeles (LA), Atlanta, and New Jersey. However, due to low ticket sales in Atlanta and New Jersey, they decided to cancel those two concerts to minimize losses. They claim that Human Made’s insistence on canceling only one concert in Atlanta was a compromise to protect the artist’s reputation.
To offset the losses from the canceled concerts, Hugh Ent secured sponsorship from local restaurants for Lee Seung Gi and concert staff. In return for this sponsorship, a photoshoot was arranged with Lee Seung Gi, restaurant owners, and employees. Specific plans were made for photos to be taken at various restaurants.
All of this information, including the sponsorship and photoshoot details, was shared in a KakaoTalk group chat on August 18th. Hugh Ent emphasized that a “fan meeting” was never part of the plan and that they did not reject the photoshoot schedule proposed by Human Made.
The disagreement escalated further when a KakaoTalk conversation between Hugh Ent and Human Made revealed differing interpretations of the photoshoot arrangements.
Despite Hugh Ent’s claims that they never agreed to photos with restaurant customers, Human Made argued that they fulfilled all contract terms and that there were no legal issues.
Both sides cited a lack of effective communication as a key issue contributing to the dispute. Hugh Ent stated that there were disagreements about schedule coordination even before Lee Seung Gi’s departure from Korea, and communication issues continued after he arrived in the U.S.
As the conflicting claims persist, it remains to be seen how this situation will be resolved and its impact on Lee Seung Gi’s U.S. concert tour.
