“All I can say is I love you.”
These were Kris Aquino’s heartfelt words as she reunited with one of her closest friends in showbiz, Kim Chiu, for the first time since she left the Philippines to get her autoimmune conditions treated.
On her Instagram account, the Queen of All Media posted a video capturing her reaction when Kim made a sudden visit to her home.
“I missed you,” Kris told Kim as they had a long overdue hug.
“Kamusta ka na? Ang tagal ko nang gusto ikaw makita,” Kim said.
“Hirap na hirap ako, ito nagche-chemo,” Kris told her.
Kim also reunited with Kris’ eldest son Josh who flew back to the US in July to be with his mom.
Accompanying the video was a lengthy letter that Kris penned showing how much she appreciates her Etiquette for Mistresses co-star for making an effort to see her.
“I super appreciate your effort to visit, and even if it was a gloomy day, you were the much-needed reminder that after all the storms, we can look forward to a rainbow,” Kris wrote.
The actress went on to share that seeing her good friend helped ease the discomfort she was feeling from her treatment.
“I’ve missed you, as in super. Fifty percent less yung sakit nung biological injectable ko at 1 pm after seeing you, please visit again and often? Thank you for until now (16 years and counting) genuinely caring for and trusting me” Kris wrote.
She then revealed that it was her ex-boyfriend, politician Mark Leviste, who made the reunion possible.
“We’ve both learned from our mistakes, with God’s help sana tuloy tuloy na ‘yung harmonious and supportive relationship namin,” Kris wrote.
She expressed her gratitude to her youngest son Bimby for helping the former couple realize the things they needed to repair to strengthen their commitment. Mark earlier declared his admiration for Kris anew, describing her as “one of the most beautiful beings” he has ever met.
Kris ended her post by thanking her supporters who still continue to wish for her speedy recovery, as well as giving a health update, “Roughly 15 more months of treatment, but I’m alive and hopeful. Tuloy ang laban, bawal sumuko.”
The local star is currently living in a rental home in the US as she continues her battle with several autoimmune diseases.
