LIZA SOBERANO’S HOLLYWOOD DEBUT

Deadline.com officially confirmed Liza’s role in the cast of “Lisa Frankenstein” in August 2022.

In an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN reporter MJ Felipe, which was broadcast on TV Patrol on Thursday, August 25, 2022, Liza disclosed it was the film’s director, Zelda Williams, who motivated her to audition for the Hollywood project.

Liza met Zelda in June 2022 when she went to Los Angeles, California, accompanied by her managers James Reid and Jeff Oh.

She recalled, “Sakto the day that I met her, she just got this project Lisa Frankenstein greenlit, and she was very excited about it.

“She was talking about it during our meeting and she said, ‘Why don’t you audition for one of the characters?”

Liza was already in South Korea when she made the decision to audition.

She recorded her audition herself and just two days later, she received the exciting news.

Liza related to MJ what the moment was like for her, “‘You got the role, you got the role!’ And I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh!’

“The funny thing is I like to downplay things in my head until I’m actually in that moment. Because I don’t want to get too excited tapos biglang mauudlot.”

It’s all systems go for Liza now, she’s back to acting and in Hollywood at that.

She expressed, “I’m really happy that a lot of people know that I’m working on a project now.

“My fans have been waiting for the longest time since 2020 for me to go back into acting.

“I’m happy that finally they have something to look forward to.”
