Although Sarah Lahbati and Richard Gutierrez have not yet addressed the rumors about their alleged breakup, their respective families appear to have something to say about the issue on social media.
Both Sarah’s father, Abdel Lahbati, and Richard’s mother, seasoned actress Annabelle Rama, have shared cryptic comments online and cautioned their followers against a certain “fake news.”
Annabelle posted a previous conversation with her Instagram followers last Sunday, Dec. 17 where the actress pointed out that the “fake news” that was allegedly pushed by a certain “inggitera” wasn’t worth her time.
“Huwag ko na raw pansinin ang mga fake news dahil hindi sila naniniwala especially sa idol nilang si Richard, alam nyu na kung saan galing ang mga fake news,” she wrote alongside her experiences as she visited the Pacquiao’s third mansion in GenSan for the boxing champ’s birthday.
Without mentioning names, Annabelle claimed that those people would undoubtedly “die of jealousy.”
“Hindi ko na babanggitin ang inggetera, mamatay ka sa inggit dahil alam ng tao kung ano ang totoo, matatalino ang taong bayan.”
“Until now we’re just quite ignoring some barking dogs. But someone doesn’t want to stop talking about this issue, she’s even spending money to spread fake news, we choose to spend money to enjoy our life,” he wrote alongside a photo of barking dogs meme.
“Thanks to everyone for your love and support for Sarah,” he continued while wishing peace, health, happiness and prosperity for their followers’ families
“Mga chismosang Marites! Tigilan niyo na ang gumawa ng maling kwento. Lahat ng lumabas sa social media is all fake news. ‘Wag niyo nang dagdagan ang mga maling balita, malalaman nyo rin ang katotohanan in due time,” the talent manager wrote, pertaining to social media users who alleged she was the one who caused the breakup.
“Baka ma-shock kayo at hindi na ako ang lalabas na kontrabida. Malalaman niyo kung sino ang walang hiya na kontrabida. Mali ang bintang niyo sa akin. Sino ba ang may gustong maghiwalay sila? Ako ba? Or ang mag-ina?” she added.
This came after Annabelle revealed during her interview with entertainment reporter MJ Felipe on Dec. 7 that her son Richard had been staying with her for a month amid breakup rumors. However, Annabelle remained tight-lipped on whether the couple had broken up.
Following this revelation and post, Abdel shared a glimpse of a family get-together, with Sarah and her sons Kai and Zion present on his Instagram account last Dec. 9
In the caption, Sarah’s dad wrote a cryptic remark about not minding the “dogs barking.” Some speculate that he might refer to his daughter’s mother-in-law, Annabelle.
The day after, Annabelle wrote another cryptic post on Facebook. This time, she referred to a specific “devil woman,” whom she claimed to be the “best liar.”
“Devil Woman, makamandag, manipulative, BEST LIAR. Please watch Gone Girl sa netflix, makita nyo ang leading lady ni Ben Affleck. I watched it 3 times. Hulaan nyo kung sino ang tinutukoy kung babae na DEVIL WOMAN,” she wrote.
Rumors of Sarah and Richard’s separation started when eagle-eyed social media users noticed that they hadn’t been sharing photos of them together online and had been spending time with their kids separately.
They were last spotted together at Maja and Rambo Nuñez’s wedding in Bali, Indonesia, but Richard was nowhere to be seen at Sarah’s 30th birthday celebration last Oct. 9 in Siargao. Richard also went solo at the previous ABS-CBN Ball and the Opulence Halloween Ball this year.
Richard and Sarah tied the knot in 2020 after dating for eight years. They were blessed with two kids, Zion, 10, and Kai, 5, who are currently living with Richard.
