According to the “2024 Overseas Hallyu Survey”, recently released by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea International Cultural Exchange Promotion Agency, Lee Min-ho has once again topped the “Most Loved Korean Actor Worldwide” survey, reigning for an astonishing 11 consecutive years, with remarkable popularity figures.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea International Cultural Exchange Promotion Agency analyzed that Lee Min-ho is playing a leading role in driving the Korean Wave (Hallyu) as the preference and popularity of K-dramas are rising sharply in the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
Meanwhile, Lee Min-ho has shown overwhelming popularity and preference in all regions around the world, including Asia-Pacific, the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Particularly, he ranked first in the supplementary survey titled “The Korean Actor Who Comes to Mind First” demonstrating unwavering popularity beyond the Hallyu boom.
Lee Min-ho’s achievement of being ranked first this time proves that he is a living legend of Hallyu, as he has maintained the top position in the actor category for 11 consecutive years since the start of the Hallyu star category survey in 2014, and has overwhelmingly dominated in recognition despite competing against top stars in Korea for 11 years.
