Benny Blanco teased his plans to marry and have kids with his girlfriend, pop star Selena Gomez, in the near future.
In an interview with “The Howard Stern Show” on May 15, after Blanco shared how he surprised his girlfriend for Valentine’s Day, the host praised him for giving extra effort to make his girl feel extra special, saying that “he’s predicting marriage between the two.”
Blanco responded enthusiastically and simply said, “You and me both.” When asked if he already had a ring to propose, the record producer joked, “I don’t have anything. I got no shoes on! I gotta get my act together.”
“When I look at her, I’m always just like, I don’t know a world where it could be better than this,” added Blanco.
On the subject of raising children together, the songwriter-producer remarked that it is included in the “next goal on the box,” as he “loves being around kids.”
Despite raising some eyebrows when they announced that they were dating, Gomez defended Blanco against bashers, saying that “being with him was the happiest she’s ever been.”
“He’s still better than anyone I’ve ever been with. Facts, and I don’t understand. If you actually care about me, this is my happiest day. If you don’t, feel free to say whatever you want. But I will never allow your words to guide my life. Ever. I’m done. If you can’t accept me at my happiest, then don’t be in [my] life at all,” said Gomez to a netizen.
Blanco and Gomez confirmed their relationship in December 2023, four years after they first collaborated on a song.
Meanwhile, Gomez’s ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber recently announced that he and wife Hailey Baldwin-Bieber are expecting their first child after six years of being married.
Gomez and Justin dated from 2010 to 2018, with some breakups and makeups in between.
