Following their highly publicized breakup, former couple Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo have been spotted separately, and fans are torn about how they should feel and react.
Bernardo recently updated fans on Instagram as she debuted her new orange-colored hair. Padilla, on the other hand, made his first public appearance following his split with the actress, as he was seen on Wednesday, Dec. 6, with his siblings spending time with orphans and trying to put on a smile while doing storytelling and gift-giving. Star Magic uploaded a video of Padilla’s visit to its Instagram account.
After the pictures of the 28-year-old Kapamilya actor circulated online, mixed comments from the netizens poured in, with many saying it was merely a PR stunt and that Padilla needed to address the issues at hand.

“Carla Estrada’s PR strategy: I guess people are buying it because they are too indulged in sabotaging the other woman,” wrote X (Twitter) user @InventadoMary.
“Nice try, but try harder. His PR needs to try something new. This isn’t working, unfortunately. Maybe surprise us next time? Yung outside of the box. Gulatin nyo kami, please,” said @VazzJKL.

Meanwhile, others defended the actor, saying the orphanage visit was something that Padilla does every year, and noting his “sincerity” to help.
“This is something he always does every year. I can’t say anything. Thankfully the kids get something,” said @preciousgift522.
“I won’t question DJ’s sincerity in helping those kids. He has a reputation for being charitable. Humans are complex beings. They can be good helpers to others but atrocious boyfriends to their partner,” wrote user @ginaddict1010.
Padilla has yet to air his side against the cheating allegations being thrown at him, particularly that involving alleged third party Andrea Brillantes.
Brillantes was also seen continuing her television appearances despite the call from her fans to clear her name in the issue.
On Nov. 30, Bernardo and Padilla confirmed their long-rumored breakup, noting that they had been drifting off for some time prior to their breakup confirmation, despite efforts to make the relationship work.
