Elisse Joson thinks she deserves better in relationships. But before you react and speculate, she has an explanation.
Elisse, together with Janella Salvador, divulged some of their most controversial thoughts about life, love, and also about each other. In a recent promotional video for their new film, Mallari, the two actresses were given ~controversial~ questions.
When asked if she deserves better in her relationship, Elisse surprisingly said yes but with reservations. “Yes, but I have an explanation,” she began.
“Yes, because we always want better for ourselves and for our relationship. Though it doesn’t mean na I’m not happy where I’m at. I just think there are things na pwedeng ibahin ng pamamaraan, ng situation. Siyempre, we always want to level up. May ibe-better pa, but it doesn’t mean I’m not happy where I’m at,” Elisse explained.
Elisse is currently in a relationship with fellow actor McCoy De Leon. They are parents to their daughter, Felize. Earlier this year, the couple faced a cheating controversy that *almost* separated the two of them.
Elisse once shared in an interview that they really worked hard to stay strong for themselves and also for their daughter. “A lot of people, sa family, hindi naman yan basta susukuan lang agad e, you have to work hard for it. Kahit anong mangyari, gagawin mo lahat talaga para magsama-sama kayo [at] maayos,” Elisse said.
Aside from Elisse’s interesting take on relationships, Janella has also revealed an intriguing interaction with Elisse before—and it apparently, involved a boy during their Be Careful With My Heart days.
Janella was asked if Elisse ever left a bad impression on her which she answered with much honesty and sincerity. Without mentioning any names, she disclosed, “When we met… I was 14. Tapos meron akong kausap na guy, tapos ‘yun pala kinakausap din siya ‘nung guy. So nagka-maling impression lang ako.”
Elisse laughed at Janella’s revelation, but admitted that she clearly remembered the incident. “Kasalanan pala ‘nung guy. Bakit dalawa kinakausap niya?” Elisse remarked.
“Actually fault talaga niya (guy). Walang problema si Elisse,” Janella humorously clarified.
The two Star Magic celebrities shared that it was the first time for them to talk about life and love together. Thankfully, because of their newest film, Mallari, they got to bond and enjoy each others’ company.
Mallari will be available in cinemas on December 25, 2023, as part of the Metro Manila Film Festival this year. The film also stars Piolo Pascual.
