K-Pop idols do everything they can to give their all to fans, whether it’s through performances, videos, or content. In response to that, netizens want to show their own love, and one of the most common ways is through gifts given at fansigns or sent to companies.
Yet, with so many gifts given, many netizens wonder what happens to their gifts and whether idols actually keep them.
Recently, former K-Pop idol Blady member Tina (now more commonly known as Soobin or Christine Park) had a live stream where she answered fans’ questions about the industry.
During the video, while answering questions, Soobin read one that read, “Do idols all keep their gifts, or do they give them away to friends.” Of course, considering some fans will pay a lot of money to give gifts to idols, many rightly want to know what happens to them.
Soobin explained that although she had done a video on it in the past, she answered as honestly as she knew. Unsurprisingly, the former idol revealed that when it comes to heartfelt gifts that don’t cost a lot of money, they are normally the ones that are kept the most, especially if they are personalized.
Notes and like photos and little small personal letters and stuff, they do keep.

Soobin then went into detail, explaining that although the gifts aren’t kept by idols, sometimes it is done so that they can keep them for the future. In particular, she shared that many idols give gifts to their family for safekeeping.
But then, a lot of gifts they will keep unless, I’m not saying that all idols give it away, but, most of the time, it might be given away to people as well. Not friends, but maybe their family, so their family can take care of it and have it separated for them.

Yet, like anything in K-Pop, Soobin revealed that alongside idols giving gifts away, there are sometimes instances where they will give them to friends. She explained, “But if they get duplicate presents, they do give them to their friends.”
It seems like, for most idols, the most precious gifts are the ones that don’t cost money. In the past, idols have truly treasured letters from fans because it is the perfect way to see the love they get from fans.
Although Soobin didn’t speak for all idols, with the number of gifts fans get, it wouldn’t be surprising if many were given away, especially so they wouldn’t be wasted. Yet, it doesn’t stop idols from appreciating all the gifts, and sometimes, it comes from a more practical perspective.
