Francis Magalona’s alleged daughter Gaile Francesca is hoping that the late rapper’s other children would “accept” her after she and her mother, Abegail Rait, claimed that they had a relationship with him.
In an interview with broadcast journalist Julius Babao, the 15-year-old said that she wants to meet her alleged half-siblings when it’s the right time.
“I want to tell them that ‘I hope that you accept me.’ I don’t have any bad intentions,” she said.
Gaile recalled visiting the OPM star’s grave in Marikina for the first time in a long time. “That was my first time ulit na mapuntahan siya sa grave niya. Noong last time, I was just a baby. I spent time with him and ‘yung anak po ni Ate Saab [Magalona]. I lit them some candles and put flowers. Parang ‘yung emotions ko po, ‘Finally. Nakita na po kita kahit hindi ka here. Napuntahan na kita,'” she said.
When asked about the mixed reactions she and her mother have received after their revelation, the 15-year-old aspiring artist said it doesn’t affect her at all.
“I don’t get affected kasi I know the story,” she explained.
Gaile said that while she wants to enter the entertainment scene by showcasing her singing and acting talents, she wants to establish a showbiz career for herself away from his alleged father’s name.
“When I was a little kid, I was really interested in singing [and] dancing and I really wanted to be an artist po,” she said.
“Ayokong makilala po ako dahil sa father ko. I want to start my own image. He’s the ‘King of Rap’ so maybe soon, I will release my own single,” she said, adding that she has also started joining acting workshops.
The late Francis M made headlines last week after Abegail claimed she had a relationship with him in an episode of the YouTube series Pinoy Pawnstars, where she showed a varsity shirt owned by Francis M as well as their old photo together and a signed note that read: “Abegail hon, I love you so much.”
She then shared the “untold story” behind the shirt, claiming that they had a relationship and that they welcomed a love child, referring to Gaile who is now in her teenage years.
While the Magalona family has yet to address the issue, eagle-eyed netizens noticed that Frank, the eldest son of Magalona, liked a post on X (formerly Twitter) about the matter.
“I find it weird watching the video of Pinoy Pawnstar where a homewrecker revealed his affair with Francis M., saying, ’15 years akong nanamihik.’ Of course, you will. You’re a mistress. Duh,” the tweet read.
Maxene also seemingly responded to the issue by reposting a quote by motivational speaker Laura Dawn on Instagram.
“Shout out to everyone who’s learning how to transmute sacred rage into acts of kindness,” the now-expired IG story read.
Francis M was a Filipino singer-songwriter and rapper who is regarded as one of the prominent figures in the Pinoy hip-hop scene to this day. His hit songs include Kaleidoscope World, Mga Kababayan, and Meron Akong Ano. He passed away in 2009 after a battle with acute myelogenous leukemia.
