From fitness to law practice to show biz, Oliver Moeller wants to do it all

After his viral appearance on “It’s Showtime” segment “EXpecially For You,” Cebu lawyer Oliver Moeller is taking his game to the next level as he aims to make his legal, fitness, and sports advocacies into the showbiz industry.

During his official contract signing with Cornerstone Entertainment on Wednesday, April 24, Moeller sat down with the press to discuss how he is going about his content creation in a way that the audience can relate to, given that law and entertainment are poles apart.

“I guess when it comes to sharing my advocacies, I’d like to put more content out there. Time management when it comes to fitness. I feel like everyone no matter what industry we’re in, we’re busy. We all have families. Maybe relationships. We all have friends. We all still want to socialize every now and then,” he told INQUIRER.net.

“I feel like in the industry, there’s a lot of information out there. It’s quite hard to pick the right one so that’s why I want to start sharing that. I was fortunate enough to get some education when it comes to strength, conditioning, and fitness back in Australia.” he added.

The 32-year-old lawyer shared that prior to his appearance on “It’s Showtime” earlier this month, Cornerstone founder Erickson Raymundo had asked him 12 years ago to join showbiz, but at the time, his priority was his law studies.

Despite his initial plans to promote fitness, sports, and education, Moeller is not fully closing his doors into entering the main aspects of showbiz, which is acting or hosting.

When asked if there were already plans for him to join “It’s Showtime” as a host, or Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) as a housemate, Moeller said the idea seemed farfetched at the moment, as he plans to stay in Cebu and only fly out to Manila when there are short-term projects to do.

“Right now, I’m not sure if my time would allow me to do that. I’d like to be based in Cebu, with all my responsibilities there. Again, I don’t know; maybe in the future. But right now, probably not yet,” he said on joining PBB, as he added that “It’s Showtime” also has not reached out to him yet.

As a newcomer in show business, Moeller also looks forward to collaborating with talented individuals from the industry, among them Kathryn Bernardo, and Piolo Pascual, with whom some observers said he shares a striking resemblance.

“From what I heard, I haven’t personally met them yet, but I’ve heard they’re amazing people. So, if I’m fortunate enough to get any sort of project with them or even to meet them, I’d be pretty happy,” he expressed.

Despite immediately getting linked to actress-host Kim Chiu and beauty queen-actress Michelle Dee, Moeller classified himself as “single but not actively searching” for now, as he affirmed that his focus remains steady on establishing himself as a content creator and online influencer.

Although he’s been practicing law full time since 2017, and currently manages his own law firm, the Cebuano heartthrob shared that he has no plans of venturing into politics in the future. However, he was gracious enough to share an advice to the youngsters who may want to pursue law.

“I guess the best advice I could give is to just focus on time management first, studying hard is important but getting loose every now and then is just as important. It’s just finding the right balance. Realizing that there’s stuff you need to learn and also realizing that you need to let go of some steam every now and then,” he said.

“You need to see relationships as inspiration rather than a distraction. I would recommend that you look for a partner that supports what you do ‘cause I understand that time is very precious. And we don’t have a lot of time to hang out with our partners so if you could choose a partner who’s supportive of your studies and sees that as your career path.” he added.
