I cry, lay down on my bed, and stare at the ceiling until my throat does not hurt anymore then I get back to work.
Just stay and observe myself and how I feel. Try to describe these feelings. To see where they come from. Acknowledge that it is absolutely ok to be sad and lonely from time to time. Avoid putting pressure on myself to be “positive and happy” (that’s very toxic).
Understand and accept myself with the sadness and loneliness too, not only with happiness and optimism, because all of these together made me into who I am.
Listen to Hozier and eat an entire family sized bag of cheddar Ruffles in the shower…
