I Make Paper Plants And You Can Too

Hi, I’m Emma! I’ve been a plant & environmental enthusiast for 10+ years and a crafter for even longer! During the pandemic, I spent a lot of time working on arts and crafts and making things. I had the idea to make plants out of paper and tried to recreate some of my favorite house plants.

For example, I remembered that the Pink Princess Philodendron, could cost up to $2,000 and figured that I could make my own out of paper! Each one took me a while to make since I had to paint the leaves with gouache and figure out how to sculpt them.

My original paper plants turned out pretty well and I wanted to empower others with the ability to craft their own houseplants!

That’s why I’ve put together some kits to make your own paper plants. This is the perfect activity for a remote WFH team bonding activity, date night, or just for fun! Plus, it’s beginner-friendly and you’ll end up a new addition to your video call background.
