Many claim Jisoo’s outfit and hair in the movie “Dr. Cheon and Lost Talisman” look similar to that of a character in a famous Chinese historical drama
According to Heraldpop, on September 20, director Kim Seong Sik announced the first images of the movie “Dr. Cheon and Lost Talisman”. Among them, one of the most notable is Jisoo’s cameo as a fairy with a white dress and flowers in her hair. The Korean filmmaker said he was very impressed with the performance of her in “Snowdrop” and immediately thought of her when coming up with the idea for this project.
However, some viewers believe that Jisoo’s image in the movie is a plagiarized product from Cecilia Liu’s character in “The Fairies of Liaozhai,” a Chinese historical drama released in 2007. In this drama, Liu plays a little fox who often does good deeds. Because her appearance is so beautiful, the character looks more like a fairy than a monster.
“Dr. Cheon and Lost Talisman” is a horror-comedy movie based on the original webtoon called “Possession”, starring Gang Dong Won, Esom, Lee Dong Hwi and Kim Jong Soo. The script revolves around exorcist Cheon (played by Gang Dong Won), a person who does not believe in the existence of ghosts. But with his speaking skills, he makes a living by hunting souls. Along with his partner In Bae (played by Lee Dong Hwi), Cheon deceives customers with his tricks, earning thousands of dollars per case. One day, they were hired by Yoo Kyung (Esom) to rescue her sister from the control of the devil. Exorcist Cheon also did not expect that this time he would encounter a real supernatural force.
Amidst various rumors revolving her contract renewal, Jisoo continuously participates in film projects. Recently, she took on the lead role in a zombie series titled “Influenza” along side actor Park Jung Min. Jisoo takes on the role of Young Joo, the girlfriend of soldier Jae Yoon (Park Jung Min).
