YG still stands by BLACKPINK’s Lisa in her first solo activity after not renewing her individual contract
With just 2 days to go, BLACKPINK Lisa’s solo stage post her decision not to renew her individual contract with YG is taking place. Even though her solo activities are no longer managed by YG, the company is still showing her support.
Dancers from YGX and Pheromone Dance Crew, repping YG, all recently headed to Paris, France. Looks like in Lisa’s upcoming solo performance, there’ll be dancers from YGX – YG’s dance crew, appearing alongside her.
This move shows that even though Lisa’s solo activities right now aren’t tied to YG, the company is supporting her solo career.
Earlier, a YG staff member shared a video of Jeff Benjamin, the K-pop journalist at Billboard, along with a caption that caught fans’ attention. Jeff Benjamin shared that he had received the ME album sent personally by Jisoo with her autograph.
A YG official immediately shared the post and said, “Sure that 2024 all eyes on us. Let’s make something more this year with our”.
This caption has spread widely on X (formerly Twitter). Many fans speculate that BLACKPINK will make a comeback with a new album and hold a world tour. Earlier, Korean media also predicted BLACKPINK’s comeback to take place in the second or third quarter of 2024, followed by a tour in the fourth quarter.
According to the post on Orchester Lamoureux’s official account, Lisa will share the stage at the Le Gala des Pièces Jaunes held at Accor Arena in France on January 26th. Orchester Lamoureux is the famous orchestra that performed “Shut Down” with BLACKPINK at the same event in January 2023.
Lisa also confirmed her participation in the charity concert Gala des Pièces Jaunes, which was organized by the French First Lady Brigitte Macron to raise funds for The Hospital Foundation.
