Netflix’s series “Mask Girl” rookie actress Lee Han Byul revealed her face in fashion magazine pictorials.
Harper’s BAZAAR recently released a photoshoot of actress Lee Han Byul, who played the first Kim Mo Mi in Netflix’s drama “Mask Girl”.
During the interview that followed the shoot, Lee Han Byul expressed her feelings about doing her first magazine shoot and interview. The rookie actress shared, “I’m very nervous because it’s my first time doing such things”, adding “I’m more nervous than when I filmed ‘Mask Girl’. I’m worried that I might make mistakes since I’m not a good speaker. It’s such a precious opportunity for me to talk about myself and my work, so I’m doing my best”.
Regarding the numerous auditions she had experienced as a rookie actress, Lee Han Byul said, “What I studied had nothing to do with acting. It was when I reached the end of my 20s that I decided to pursue acting in earnest and started appearing in short films”, adding “I met the director (Kim Yong Hoon) after participating in several auditions, but it was not all. I devoted myself to the audition for 4 months straight”.
When asked about the reason she got cast in “Mask Girl”, the actress said, “Mo Mi failed to fulfill her dream due to a reason that she couldn’t do anything about it, so she wears a mask and appears on broadcasts. The director seems to have felt something similar to Mo Mi’s desires from the way I’ve been living my life and preparing myself for acting.”
Lee Han Byul appeared in Netflix’s original series “Mask Girl”, which was released on August 18th, as Kim Mo Mi, who wanted to become a celebrity but couldn’t achieve that dream due to her appearance complex.
The pictorials and interview of Lee Han Byul can be found in the September issue of fashion magazine Harper’s BAZAAR.
