Maxene Magalona shared a throwback video of a sweet moment she had with her father, the late OPM icon Francis Magalona.
In the video shared on Oct. 24, Francis M can be seen freestyle rapping while driving as teenager Maxine is in the passenger’s seat laughing. There’s also a text in the clip that read: “Daddy’s girl Maxene.”
“Rest in peace, Papa,” Maxene wrote in the caption as she thanked her friend who sent it to her.
The video was first posted on TikTok by user @777.mbrl, which shares content about the renowned rapper.
Francis M recently made headlines after Abegail Rait, a former flight attendant, claimed they had a relationship and a 15-year-old daughter, Gaile Francesca, during an episode of YouTube series Pinoy Pawnstars.
In the YT video, Rait presented a varsity shirt supposedly owned by the late OPM star, as well as their old photo together, and a signed note that read, “Abegail hon, I love you so much.” She noted that she kept silent about it for 15 years.
The Magalonas have yet to directly address the issue, though Frank, Kiko’s eldest son, was seen liking a viral tweet that criticized Rait amid the revelation.
Maxene, meanwhile, reposted a quote on “transmuting sacred rage into acts of kindness.”
Francis M was a Filipino singer-songwriter and rapper who is regarded as one of the prominent figures in the Pinoy hip-hop scene to this day. His hit songs include Kaleidoscope World, Mga Kababayan, and Meron Akong Ano. He passed away in 2009 after a battle with acute myelogenous leukemia.
