Eating eggs regularly can be harmful for these 5 groups of people

Eggs are nutritious and healthy, but not everyone is suitable to eat them frequently.

Ăn trứng thường xuyên rất hại với 5 nhóm người này

1. People with cardiovascular disease or high blood lipids

Eggs, especially the yolk, contain a relatively high amount of cholesterol (about 186mg per egg). Therefore, they are not suitable for people with heart disease, atherosclerosis, high blood pressure, or lipid disorders. Eating too many eggs regularly may raise cholesterol levels further, cause blocked arteries, or worsen the condition. For those with these conditions, 2–3 eggs per week is enough.

2. People with severe liver disease

The liver is the body’s detoxification and metabolism center. Eggs are high in protein, which puts extra strain on the liver when metabolizing. For people with hepatitis, cirrhosis, or impaired liver function, eating too many eggs increases the liver’s workload, leading to fatigue and discomfort. Additionally, the fat in egg yolks can worsen fatty liver. Those with liver disease should limit egg consumption.

3. People with chronic kidney disease

Eggs are rich in animal protein, which is not recommended for people with weak or failing kidneys. Eating too many eggs forces the kidneys to work harder, adding strain and worsening the condition. In such cases, if desired, it’s best to eat only egg whites and follow the guidance of a nutritionist or doctor.

4. People allergic to or intolerant of eggs

Some people’s immune systems react to proteins in egg whites (such as ovalbumin or ovomucoid). Eating eggs can trigger itching, hives, rashes, or in severe cases, anaphylaxis. Those with egg intolerance may suffer prolonged digestive issues when consuming eggs regularly. This group should completely avoid eggs and egg-based products.

5. People with fever or recovering from illness

When someone has a high fever or has just recovered, their digestion and metabolism are usually weakened. Eating eggs (especially undercooked ones) may cause indigestion, bloating, and prolonged fatigue. Eggs are also not ideal for those with a fever, as they may increase body heat further.
