Just 1 half-drunk can of beer can kill a whole colony of cockroaches
Cockroaches are extremely annoying pests, especially their bad smell makes many people extremely uncomfortable. Repelling cockroaches is not difficult, but sometimes you have to use chemicals that are extremely toxic to your health. Therefore, if you want to repel cockroaches, save money and not harm people, then apply the following little tip!
- Use beer to trap cockroaches
You just need to drop a piece of bread into an old beer can with a little beer or use an unfinished beer can to trap cockroaches. Cockroaches will automatically crawl in there and "die" there without any effort.
The reason this is considered an effective cockroach trapping method is because cockroaches love water and are fascinated by the aroma of beer. Beer contains protein, its aroma will stimulate cockroaches' sense of smell and signal to them that this is a delicious bait.
Along with that, the mouth of the beer can lid is quite small, so the structure of the beer can will make it difficult for the cockroach to get out once it gets in and will die drowning in the beer can.
- Use a mixture of baking soda and sugar
If you don't have beer, you can also use baking soda mixed with sugar to kill cockroaches.
The sweet, fragrant taste of sugar always attracts cockroaches, while baking soda will create a reaction with the digestive tract, causing the cockroach to roll over and die.
The formula for this trap is also extremely simple, you just need to mix baking soda and sugar in a 1:1 ratio. Then, put the mixture in a tall jar with a mouth large enough for the cockroach to crawl in and you're done.
- Use egg yolk and boric acid powder
In addition to the above 2 methods, you can also use 1 egg yolk with 25 - 40gr of boric acid powder - you can buy it at the dealer to make a mixture to kill cockroaches.
Next, mix the two ingredients above until the mixture is thick. Divide the mixture into small round balls like ping pong balls and wait about 1 hour for the mixture to dry.
Place these balls in hidden corners of the house, shelves, cabinets and places where cockroaches often appear. Cockroaches will immediately crawl to nibble.
But unfortunately, when eating this type of food, boric acid powder will expand strongly, damaging the cockroach's digestive system, causing them to roll over and die. So with the above small tips, you can chase the entire swarm of cockroaches out of your house, without using harmful chemicals.
