Philmar Alipayo, the partner of Andi Eigenmann, stressed that he’s aware of his boundaries, weeks after a “friendly” video of himself with one Crissa Liaging went viral on social media.

Alipayo made headlines in May after a video of him and Liaging interacting at a bar went viral on social media. At some points, the video showed the surfer leaning his head close to the latter and holding her waist.

This led Eigenmann to show her dismay toward Liaging for “intentionally” editing the video for “some social media attention.”

Weeks later, Alipayo briefly addressed in a “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” interview aired on Monday, June 10, that while he freely interacts with people at bars, he knows where his boundaries lie. He was accompanied by Eigenmann.

“Lagi akong nakikipag-usap… Kahit papaano, [kahit] sobra kong lasing, alam kong may [boundaries] (I always talk to people. Even if I’m very drunk, I am aware of the boundaries),” he said.

Meanwhile, Eigenmann said she and Alipayo initially laughed off the video, but what bothered her was how the video was “purposely” made to cause a stir.

“I guess I know him well so I know what his type is. When I saw the video, we ignored it… What bothered me is finding out that it was done on purpose,” she added. “The person in the video was the one who posted it. That’s what bothered me because you just created something super unnecessary.”

The actress then pointed out that Alipayo doesn’t mind what people think of him, as her opinions of her partner are the ones that matter to the surfer.

“In terms of what people think he was doing or his intentions were, that doesn’t matter to him. I guess because the only opinion that matters to him is mine. Hindi niya naman asawa ‘yung mga tao na iyan (He’s not married to them),” she said.

The couple, who have been engaged since December 2020, was supposed to tie the knot sometime this year. However, they decided to postpone the ceremony after the death of Eigenmann’s mother, Jaclyn Jose, last March.

Alipayo and Eigenmann share two children, Lilo and Koa. The former actress is also the mother of Ellie, her daughter with ex-boyfriend Jake Ejercito.
