Selena Gomez responded to a viral TikTok video that addressed her relationship with ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber. On Sunday (Dec. 11), the “Lose You to Love Me” singer reacted to a TikToker’s claim that she was thinner when dating Bieber.
The aforementioned video, which was posted to TikTok on Nov. 29, features old photos of Gomez in workout gear, appearing to go to the gym. The clip ended with a screenshot of an alleged old Instagram comment left by the Rare Beauty founder, writing, “He rathers models. I’m just too normal.” In response to the clip, Gomez commented with a sad face emoji.

As Jelena fans might recall, the former couple dated off-and-on for the majority of the 2010s. The two musicians called it quits officially in 2018. A few months after their final breakup, the Changes singer married model Hailey Bieber.
After the TikTok video was posted, it was met with a lot of backlash online, with fans saying Gomez’s weight shouldn’t be a topic of discussion. Back in April, the “Look at Her Now” singer, who has been open about how her Lupus medication affects her weight, clapped back at body-shamers.
“So I be trying to stay skinny,” she said in the viral TikTok video. “But I went to Jack in the Box and I got four tacos, three egg rolls, onion rings, and a spicy chicken sandwich.”
She continued, “Honestly, I don’t care about my weight because people b—h about it anyway. ‘You’re too small,’ ‘you’re too big,’ ‘that doesn’t fit.’ ‘Meh meh meh meh.’ B**ch, I am perfect the way I am. Moral of the story? Bye.”
