On the episode of Family Feud Philippines that aired last November 7, featuring the GMA Sparkle Stars, one moment during the show caught people’s attention.
The Sparkle stars went head to head to get to the finals and after three rounds, Team Sparkle Squad won against Team Gwapo Gang.
Out of four members on the team, Janeena Chan and Shuvee Etrata were chosen to do the “Fast Money” round.
When it was Sparkle Star Shuvee Etrata’s turn for the said round, one of the questions asked by host Dingdong Dantes was, “What is the maximum capacity of a tricycle?” to which she answered “12.”
This caught the attention of the audience and garnered mixed reactions. People were quite surprised by her answer and completely confused about why she said that.
Many viewers took to social media to express their thoughts about her answer on the game.
To be fair, she’s not wrong with her answer because there are places in the country where tricycles have much larger seating capacities. For example, in Aklan, their tricycles can be as long as a jeepney, accommodating up to 12 people. In Metro Manila, there are also e-trikes, most commonly seen in Antipolo, with the same capacity as those found in some provinces.
Although the question did not explicitly state as to what specific area is here in the country, the answer they were looking for is probably applicable to Metro Manila area, so it did not garner any points in the board.
The usual maximum capacity of a tricycle here in Manila is 5 people. That also depends on the area as some would only allow 3-4 people at most.
In the end, they weren’t able to win the jackpot round.
Before we judge, I think we should do our own research before we say something about people’s answers.
