This is actually a squirrel
Squirrels are a diverse species, with more than 285 different species across the world.
The squirrel family contains a range of animals, including ground squirrels, chipmunks, marmots, prairie dogs and flying squirrels. However, the most common type of squirrel, and the one that most of us think of, is the tree squirrel, of which there are 122 species!
Squirrels typically have a long, bushy tail and small pointed ears. They also have sharp claws which they use to climb trees and gather food. They have thick fur coats which range in colour from grey, red, to brown, and some species even have unique markings.
