Okay, campers, rise and shine!
Here’s an inn you can book that will leave you with a distinct feeling of déjà vu – because it was used as the Groundhog Day B&B for Bill Murray’s character Phil Connors.
The 1993 movie was set in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, but what is now the Cherry Tree Inn in Woodstock, Illinois, was used for the exterior shots of the B&B that Phil woke up in ad nauseam.

In the movie, TV weatherman Phil Connors travels from Pittsburgh, where his station is based, and visits Punxsutawney to report on the annual February 2 Groundhog Day festival, during which a groundhog is ‘consulted’ to predict how long the winter season will last.
It’s a standard assignment until a blizzard traps Phil and his team in the town and he finds himself waking up every morning in the B&B at 6am to the cries of ‘campers, rise and shine’ from the radio show programmed into his alarm clock – and reliving Groundhog Day over and over again.
