The romance of Lee Ah-reum, a former member of the girl group T-ara, and her ex-boyfriend will be explained in “True Story of Exploration”
The new broadcast of MBC’s “True Story of Exploration” on June 13th depicts the story of T-ara’s Areum (Lee Ah-reum) and her ex-boyfriend Seo.
On this broadcast, the production team will investigate the identity of Areum’s ex-boyfriend Seo, who has a criminal record. After being sentenced to two and a half years in prison for, threatening, and sexual crimes in May 2021, he was released in September last year.
Areum revealed that she started dating Seo in October last year. In other words, Seo started dating Areum about a month after he was released from prison. Since then, he engaged in fraud and distorted money from other people.
The production team also met with victims who suffered damage from Seo’s fraudulent acts in 2019. The victims stated that they had lent large amounts of money to Seo but their relationship ended after being assaulted by Seo.
In May, Areum also claimed on her Instagram account that Seo did the same thing to her. However, Seo said to “True Story of Exploration” team that everything was done by Areum and accused Areum of using all the borrowed money.
Earlier, Areum joined T-ara in 2012 but withdrew from the group in July of the following year. She married Kim Young-gul, a businessman who is two years older than her, and has two sons. However, Areum announced her divorce and remarriage to her new lover Seo in December last year.
After being embroiled in fraud accusations, Areum revealed that she was pregnant with Seo’s child after they broke up and announced her intention to sue Seo for threatening her during the time they were dating.
