After getting into a multiple-car accident in August, Vice Ganda has bought a new car—and it’s all things modern and lavish.
The comedian-host detailed his life update on his YouTube channel on Sept. 23, together with notable Filipino fashion designer Michael Leyva.
“Mamalengke tayo ng sasakyan bilang nabangga tayo,” he quipped.
“Dahil it will take time bago magawa ‘yung sasakyan ko, mga ilang months, kailangan natin ng panibagong service,” he continued.
The two went to the BMW branch in Pampanga and checked out the new BMW 735i Pure Excellence.
The new model under the 7 series boasts an all-touchscreen dashboard with Android 2.0 and Apple Car Play wireless connectivity, wireless charging stations on the isle, and a Bowers and Wilkins sound system for a quality sound trip on the road.
It also has a six-cylinder gasoline engine for a smooth riding experience. For a more luxurious experience, the seats have a color combination of black and burgundy and a full glass sunroof.
In his vlog, Vice showed that the seats’ tilt and height can also be adjusted, while interior lights can also be changed from time to time with up to 16 colors to choose from using the phone-like control operator beside the seat. Passengers can also make adjustments through its voice command feature—like Siri.
Trunks can also be opened through a kick function feature. The seats can also be opened either by the usual lever or a push button.
Ang laking abala, ang laking stress,” he said.
Mababawi naman natin ‘to kung pagta-trabahuhan pa natin,” clarifying that he just feels blessed to not sustain major injuries.
According to BMW’s site, the specific model costs P8.99 million. But for the comedian, it is an investment in safety, considering what his previous accident did to him and his driver.
“’Yun din ‘yung dahilan bat mahal na sasakya binibili namin, ‘yung safety talaga,” he said.
His boyfriend, Ion, took a driving test around the subdivision.
On Aug. 22, the comedian got involved in a road accident involving three other cars along Katipunan Avenue in Quezon City, allegedly because a delivery rider fell asleep on the road.
“For everyone, this is a reminder for everyone to be responsible. Kapag inaantok na, huminto. ‘Di ba, at the end of the day, ang pinakamahalaga pa rin ang buhay kaysa sa ide-deliver,” he previously said in an event.
