TWICE’s Jihyo reveals what got trainees kicked from JYP Entertainment

TWICE’s Jihyo opened up the struggles she experienced during her trainee days.

On the February 29th episode of YouTube series ‘Sulply’, host Lee Suk Hoon looked around JYP Entertainment‘s office with Jihyo as a guest. She revealed about her trainee days, “I joined JYP in 2005. In the past, we all gathered in the hallway and sat with blankets because there were not enough practice rooms. The heater didn’t come out in the winter, and the air conditioner leaked in the summer. The environment got better after we came to the new office building.”

As for what she was scolded about as a trainee, Jihyo shared, “In my case, I was scolded a lot because I couldn’t lose weight.” When it came to the TWICE leader’s personality, a staff member said, “Jihyo is a true leader. She’s so nice and always does what she needs to do.”

Jihyo also revealed what got trainees kicked out of JYPE, saying, “If they go to a bar, they’re out. If they go to a club, they’re out. A few people had to leave because of these rules. Even adults couldn’t go. That was the case back then. That’s almost 10 years ago now.”
