Thai actor-singer Bright Vachirawit is confirmed to be in a relationship with his “2gether” co-star Pornnappan Pornpenpipat, popularly known as Nene, with Vachirawit apologizing to fans for “disrespecting [them] and causing harm.”
On his X (formerly Twitter) page on Monday, April 22, Vachirawit quoted a post made by his label Cloud9 Entertainment confirming his romance with Nene, which he noted is an announcement that might’ve “caught [fans] off guard.”
“I just wanted to clarify a few things, especially for my fans who are always so caring and curious about how I am doing — yes, we are really dating,” he said. “I’d like to apologize for shocking you with this news. We truly had no intention of disrespecting anyone or causing harm.”
The actor described Nene as “one of the most precious people” he met, saying she “makes [him] feel warm and safe” throughout their relationship.
“Those who have followed me for a long time know that I always strive to be respectful and true to myself. My focus is always on spreading love and positivity through my work and dedication,” he added.
Despite the announcement, Vachirawit expressed his gratitude for the fans who “shaped [him]” into the artist he is today.
“I am incredibly grateful for everything that has shaped me into who I am today, and for all the love and support I’ve received. Thank you to all of you who continue to support and love me. It means a lot,” he said.
On the other hand, Nene took to her Instagram page to apologize for not being able to share her relationship with Vachirawit “earlier,” as she pointed out that she’s one to “separate” her personal life and music.
“My focus is always on spreading love and positivity through my music and performances for all of you wonderful people,” she said. “As a public figure, I’m always mindful of my words and actions. I want to make it clear that I do not have any negative feelings or intentions towards anyone or any country.”
Citing his affable personality, Nene said the actor-singer “motivates [her] to be a better person” and that she found herself “laughing more, smiling brighter, and feeling unafraid to take risks” because of him.
“Bright is a warm person. We support each other when things are tough and celebrate together when we’re happy,” she wrote. “I find myself laughing more, smiling brighter, and feeling unafraid to take risks. Because I know there will always be someone to accept me, support me, and catch me if I fall.”
Apart from the stars’ admission, Vachirawit’s management, Cloud9 Entertainment, asserted in a statement that while their relationship was confirmed in a “delayed manner,” it doesn’t “diminish the value” of their fans.
The Thai stars’ confirmation comes after they were seen together on multiple occasions, with them going on a date at a restaurant, and another on a flight to a getaway in a foreign country.
Vachirawit and Nene worked together in the hit boys’ love (or BL) series “2gether,” where “Under Parallel Skies” star Win Metawin is one of the leads.
