The maid squeezed water from the kitchen rag into the homeowner's drinking water pot


On May 23, the police of Ngoc Thuy Ward, Long Bien District, Hanoi, recorded a report and considered handling Mrs. O. (58 years old, from Nghe An province, working as a housekeeper) according to legal regulations.

Previously, according to the report from Ms. H. (also from Ngoc Thuy Ward), her family hired Mrs. O. through an agency to work as a housekeeper starting from April 16. This woman from Nghe An was advertised by the agency as "clean, good at cooking, healthy, hardworking..."

Ms. H. stated that her family paid Mrs. O. a salary of 9 million VND per month.

However, on May 11, after experiencing severe stomach pain, Ms. H. reviewed the surveillance camera footage of the kitchen area and discovered a surprising action by the housekeeper.

It was revealed that during the process of boiling perilla leaves for the homeowners, Mrs. O. did not wash the bunch of leaves but put them directly into the pot. Moreover, the housekeeper used a kitchen cloth to wipe spilled water from the stove and then squeezed the cloth into the pot of perilla leaves for the homeowner to drink.

The next day, Ms. H.'s family reported the incident to the Ngoc Thuy Ward Police.

During the police investigation, Mrs. O. admitted the behavior and explained that it was "hasty and accidental."

"I realize that my wrongful behavior has affected the health of others. I commit not to repeat such acts," Mrs. O. stated during the police proceedings.
