Another local adaptation of a Korean film is in the works!
Jennelyn Mercado, Gerald Anderson, and Sam Milby are confirmed to be the lead stars of the Filipino adaptation of the hit South Korean film All About My Wife. The film will be produced by CreaZion Studios, who are best known for Ngayon Kaya and Patay Na Si Hesus, among others.
Sam’s talent agency, Cornerstone Entertainment, broke the “exciting” news on Monday by sharing an Instagram post of the three lead stars.
The news was confirmed following the official cast meeting held at Fin and Claw in Quezon City.
All About My Wife revolves around the story of an unhappy married man who hired a Casanova to seduce his wife in hopes of her filing a divorce.
It was originally an Argentinian film that was adapted by South Korea in 2012. In its Korean version, the movie starred Lim Soo Jung, Lee Sun Kyun, and Ryu Seung Ryeong.
The film received numerous awards in the 33rd Blue Dragon Film Awards, 21st Buil Film Awards, 49th Grand Bell Awards, 55th Asia-Pacific Film Festival, 4th KOFRA Film Awards, and 49th Baeksang Arts Awards.
Sam and Gerald are back in this film after starring in the 2022 series A Family Affair. Meanwhile, this movie will serve as Sam and Jennylyn’s reunion project after The Prenup in 2015.
