Jung Yong Hwa Clarifies ‘We Got Married’ Season With SNSD Seohyun Was Unscripted
On September 11, CNBLUE Jung Yonghwa appeared as the latest guest of YouTube’s “My Neighborhood Friend Kangnami.”
On this day, MC Kangnam brought back the idol’s past work with Seohyun of the “Nation’s Girl Group” Girls’ Generation.
Yonghwa, who heard this, willingly expressed the desire to talk about their legendary virtual marriage through MBC’s “We Got Married.”
At the time, the virtual couple was massively loved for their realistic and strong chemistry despite it being an entertainment show.
In the show, Yonghwa confirmed that what the two artists did during their “marriage” was unscripted.
“There are many people who think that everything in ‘We Got Married’ was scripted. There is a script, but we are unaware of what to do. The script will say, ‘It starts by sitting on the sofa.’ But there are no words. There is no such thing as ‘what should I do?’ From there, it’s all up to one’s capabilities.”
He added that that the filming site was conducted in a pure reality.
“It’s just, uh, two people’s territories. Really, whether you take a taxi or a bus, it’s up to you. At the time, Seohyun and I were really busy. It was when we both slept almost like this for an hour or two a week.”
Jung Yonghwa Recalls Lost ‘Couple Ring’ Incident With Seohyun
In the same broadcast, the male idol also shared the viral video where he lost his “couple ring” with Seohyun during a live broadcast.
At the time, he accidentally lost the ring during a performance in “Music Core” and forgetting he’s still performing tried to look for it. After the stage, the scene immediately went viral.
Jung Yonghwa then explained:
“It’s really real. During ‘We Got Married,’ I had to maintain being emotional so I even wore the ring in the shower because I heard I had to wear it while we were dating.
The ring I bought with Seohyun at a fancy stationary store was cheap so it was easily corroded and it fell it. But I didn’t lose it. As soon as the stage was over, I searched for it and that is what came out.”
Meanwhile, Jung Yonghwa is scheduled to release his second mini album, “YOUR CITY” on September 14. Prior to this, Jung Yonghwa’s agency announced that he would add to the comeback fever by releasing concept photo #3 on the 11th, a highlight medley on the 12th, and a music video teaser on the 13th.
