Does Anyone Know What This Insect Is? I Found It in My Son’s Hair… 😨👇

I was brushing my son’s hair this morning when I suddenly noticed a tiny dark bug crawling near his scalp. At first, I thought it was just a small spider or maybe a piece of dirt, but when I looked closer, I realized it was actually a tick!

I immediately panicked because I’ve heard that ticks can carry dangerous diseases. The scary part is that we had gone hiking in a grassy park just two days ago, so it probably attached itself there without us noticing.

After doing some research, I learned that ticks are small parasitic insects that feed on blood by attaching themselves to the skin. They are commonly found in tall grass, wooded areas, gardens, and even on pets. Children are especially vulnerable because they spend so much time playing outdoors.

Thankfully, the tick had not fully attached yet, so I was able to remove it carefully using tweezers. Experts recommend grabbing the tick as close to the skin as possible and pulling it out slowly without twisting. After removing it, I cleaned the area with soap and warm water.

Doctors say it’s important to watch for symptoms after a tick bite, including:
• Fever
• Rash
• Fatigue
• Headaches
• Muscle aches

Some ticks can transmit illnesses such as Lyme disease, so early detection is very important.

Now I always check my child’s hair, neck, behind the ears, and scalp after outdoor activities. I also make sure he wears long sleeves and uses insect repellent when playing in grassy areas.

Honestly, I never imagined I would find a tick hiding in my son’s hair. It was terrifying, but it also reminded me how important it is for parents to stay alert.

Have you ever experienced something like this before?
