The 31-year-old actor makes a showbiz comeback after four years with the raunchy comedy film, I Am Not Big Bird.
In the newly released trailer, Enrique takes on the role of Luis Carpio, who takes on a hilarious yet chaotic adventure in Thailand to cope with recent heartbreak.
Luis explored “The Land of Smiles” with his friends portrayed by Nikko Natividad and Red Ollero, alongside their tour guide played by Pepe Herrera.
The group enjoyed days and nights in tourist spots and nightclubs until Luis got into trouble after locals thought he was the “Big Bird,” a notable figure in the adult film industry who looks similarly to him.
In his previous interview with ABS-CBN News, Enrique said that the film is inspired by 90s comedies.
“’Yan ang nakaka-miss sa 90s comedies. We wanted to bring it back. We wanted to deliver it,” he said during the official trailer launch.
This marks Enrique’s first project after the 2020 series Make It With You which he co-starred with Liza Soberano.
“Medyo nanibago ako. I don’t know, it was weird. Parang you still remember it, how to do it. ‘Yung timing,” he told ABS-CBN News.
The film will premiere in cinemas on Valentine’s Day, seven days after the premiere of Liza’s Hollywood debut film Lisa Frankenstein.
