Guy Asks If It’s Wrong Of Him To Demand His Bald Sister Wears A Wig To His Engagement Party

Celebrations can be anxiety-inducing to both hosts and guests, especially if they require special preparation. In the case of Reddit user Jaded_Flying992, it was over his suggested dress etiquette.

The guy asked a forum called Am I the A-hole to help him understand if he was in the wrong to invite his sister to his engagement party under certain unconventional conditions. The requirements are to wear a wig and make-up.  For context, she has alopecia and Jaded_Flying992  wants his sister to hide it so she visually blends in with the guests more and the future bride gets the most attention.

Alopecia is a condition that makes the body lose hair either in patches or altogether, it is associated with other symptoms as well. The U.K. national health provider NHS says: “Losing hair can be upsetting. For many people, their hair is an important part of who they are. If your hair loss is causing you distress, your GP may be able to help you get some counseling.” Apart from the ability to get into counseling and support groups patients can buy wigs from NHS or even get them compensated.
