Toilet Bowl Yellow Stains? Pour This Water In, and In Just 15 Minutes, It's Clean and Odor-Free
In addition to using toilet cleaners, there are many other materials you can use to clean the stains in your toilet. Over time, if not cleaned regularly, toilets can accumulate yellow or even black stains. Not only do these stains affect the aesthetics, but they can also pose health risks.
Instead of using commercial cleaners, you can make use of common household items to clean these stains.
1. Clean Yellow Stains in the Toilet Bowl with Hot Water
Pour hot water into the rim of the toilet bowl so that it flows down and covers the entire surface. Then, continue to pour toilet cleaner over it. Close the toilet lid and leave it for 15 minutes. During this time, the cleaner and hot water will help soften the stains, making them easier to come off the surface of the toilet bowl.
Next, use a brush to scrub away the loosened stains, and flush the toilet. Your toilet bowl will be sparkling clean.
You can also use toilet cleaning tablets to clean yellow stains.
When cleaning your toilet, don’t forget to scrub the water tank, the exterior of the toilet, the base, and the toilet lid.
Hot water not only helps with cleaning and disinfecting but also reduces the risk of toilet blockages. When exposed to hot water, waste materials break down more easily and can be flushed away more efficiently.
2. Use Fresh Lemons
Lemon is a natural bleaching agent that you can use to clean your toilet. Lemons not only remove stains but also have an effective deodorizing ability. Cleaning your toilet with fresh lemon juice will help eliminate stubborn black stains, yellowing, and unpleasant odors.
You can squeeze the juice of 4-5 lemons. Then, mix it with a little detergent and pour it over the entire surface of the toilet bowl. Close the toilet lid and leave it for at least 30 minutes.
After that, use a brush to scrub the stains off. Finally, flush the toilet with clean water. Your toilet will be sparkling white, and the unpleasant smell will be gone.
3. Use White Vinegar
Like lemon, white vinegar has acidic properties that can soften stains, deodorize, and kill bacteria.
Simply pour white vinegar around the toilet bowl and leave it for about 15 minutes to allow the acid in the vinegar to break down the stains, making them easier to remove.
You can then scrub the toilet with a brush, and the stains will quickly loosen. Finally, press the flush button to rinse the toilet clean.
4. Use Baking Soda
Baking soda is great for cleaning and is safe for humans. It can be used for cooking, beauty, laundry, deodorizing, and even unclogging drains.
For black toilet stains, baking soda is an excellent choice. It helps to remove stains quickly and is inexpensive, so you don’t need to worry about the cost.
To enhance cleaning effectiveness, mix baking soda with vinegar.
First, flush the toilet to wet the surface. Then, sprinkle 100 grams of baking soda evenly over the toilet bowl.
Next, slowly pour half a cup of vinegar over the surface. When vinegar meets baking soda, you’ll notice bubbling.
Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes to allow the cleaning process to work and remove stains. Then, scrub the toilet with a brush.
Finally, flush the toilet and check if it's clean to your satisfaction.
Typically, black stains are harder to remove than yellow ones. If the toilet is not as clean as you want, you can repeat the process to remove any remaining stains.
These easy-to-follow methods can help keep your toilet sparkling clean, odor-free, and hygienic!
