The stove is covered with grease
It is difficult to avoid dirty gas stoves after a long time. However, there is still a quick way for you to clean all grease stains.
After a period of cooking, the stove surface and surrounding utensils are inevitably covered with grease and smoke, making the kitchen look very sticky and unsightly. In particular, the gas stove grate is the place where dirt and grease stick the most, because during the cooking process, food can easily spill out.
If not cleaned regularly, these stains will stick firmly to the grate, causing wear and rust to this part. However, grease stains and stubborn stains are very difficult to clean with normal water. At this time, you can clean the stove in the following simple ways:
1. White vinegar
White vinegar is not only a popular ingredient used in cooking, but it is also known as an excellent gas stove cleaner. With this method, mix vinegar with water in a 1:2 ratio and then put the solution in a spray bottle. Spray the solution onto the surface of the gas stove, the acidity of the vinegar will help remove stains more easily. At this point, you just need to wipe it clean with a rag.
2. Cooking oil
In addition to white vinegar, you can also clean the gas stove with cooking oil. It may sound strange, but cooking oil can actually remove stubborn stains on the gas stove. Take a sponge or soft cloth soaked in cooking oil and wipe it over the surface of the gas stove. Then, wash the stove with dishwashing liquid, the stains and rust will disappear completely, returning the stove to a clean, shiny state.
3. Baking soda + white vinegar + salt
Sprinkle about 2 tablespoons of baking soda and a little salt on the gas stove. Next, pour white vinegar evenly over it and leave it for a while. About 10 minutes later, you just need to use a sponge to rub the stove surface and the stove will be clean and shiny.
In fact, white vinegar helps soften stains, while baking soda has a very good cleaning effect, and salt will create a certain amount of friction. The combination of these 3 mixtures can easily and effectively clean the stove.
In addition, when cleaning the gas stove, you also need to note the following:
- First, turn off the stove, close the gas valve and let the stove cool completely before cleaning to avoid burns, leaks causing fire and explosion.
- Take the gas stove grate out, wash them and dry them.
- Use an old toothbrush or soft brush to clean the burner on the gas stove, avoid clogging that leads to yellow/red flames or the stove not turning on.
- After cleaning the stove surface, reassemble the grate and use it as usual.
