No Matter How Tight Money Is, Eat These 3 Types of Meat as Little as Possible – Don’t Try to Save a Little and Risk Your Family’s Health

There’s a saying: “Illness enters through the mouth,” meaning many health problems stem from poor eating habits.

Meat is a rich source of nutrition, but not all parts of meat are safe to eat. Even if you're struggling financially, it’s best to avoid these three types of meat. Eating them regularly may cost you far more in medical bills than you save on groceries.

1. Chicken and Duck Heads – High in Heavy Metals

It may sound surprising, but in the past, elders strictly forbade eating chicken heads. In some families, chicken heads were even chopped off and buried. The saying “Eating chicken head for 10 years is as poisonous as arsenic” isn’t without reason.

Experts explain that due to their habit of pecking and digging in the soil, the heads of chickens, ducks, and geese often accumulate harmful heavy metals from the environment, such as lead and cadmium. These substances are difficult to break down and build up more as the bird ages. Regular consumption can damage the nervous system, kidneys, and increase the risk of cancer.

2. Chicken and Duck Necks – Full of Lymph Nodes and Hormones

There’s no denying the appeal of seasoned chicken or duck necks, but behind the flavor lies a serious health risk.

These necks contain numerous lymph nodes, which house immune cells that help fight off bacteria and viruses. However, after these cells complete their job, the toxins and pathogens they trap remain in the tissue and are not eliminated from the body.

When you eat these parts—especially in large quantities—you’re unintentionally consuming a large dose of toxins and residual hormones. Over time, this can negatively impact the liver, kidneys, and immune system.

3. Chicken Tails – Fatty but Full of Toxic Cells

Chicken tails (also known as the "bishop’s nose" or “parson’s nose”) are favored by many for their rich, fatty flavor. However, they are also the main gathering place of macrophages—cells that “eat” bacteria, viruses, and toxins.

The issue is that the toxins consumed by these cells are not fully broken down or removed, even if thoroughly cooked. If eaten frequently, these toxins may accumulate and cause harm to the digestive system, and may even increase the risk of stomach and liver cancer.

In tough economic times, it's understandable to want to avoid wasting food. However, some parts of meat carry hidden health dangers. Don’t let a few seemingly tasty bites become silent threats to your body.
