A simple 15-minute method helps clean dusty fans without removing the grille.
In the summer, it is inevitable that mosquitoes breed, sometimes you will see cockroaches and ants. To kill these insects, you can apply the following methods:
1. Ants are afraid of sour smell

If there are sweet things in your house and they are not placed properly, they will attract a whole group of ants. Or when the weather changes, ants can also drag a whole group into your house.
To repel these insects, squeeze the juice of half a lemon, put it in a spray bottle and spray it on their path. Ants are afraid of the sour smell, so they will not dare to come near your house again.
In addition, you can spread the scent on the windowsill, doors or places where ants pass through to prevent the invasion of ants.
2. Mosquitoes are afraid of spicy smells

Mosquitoes are very afraid of spicy smells, to repel this type of insect, you can apply the following methods:
- Plant plants that give off spicy scents such as lemongrass, garlic, rosemary, mint, etc. around the house.
- Mix minced garlic with essential oil and put it in a thin cloth bag, hang it in the house to repel mosquitoes.
- Diffuse grapefruit, orange, tangerine or lemongrass essential oils, etc. in the house. Or, you can diffuse the house with dried orange, tangerine, grapefruit, and mugwort peels.
- Mosquitoes also do not like the strong smell of flowers, so you can hang lilies and night-blooming jasmine on the balcony to repel mosquitoes.
- Hang orange curtains in the house or cover lampshades with orange cellophane. Because mosquitoes are afraid of red-orange light, it can create a very good mosquito repellent effect.
If you accidentally get bitten by a mosquito, do not rush to scratch it with your hands. Apply a little salt water or toothpaste to the affected area to quickly reduce the itching.
3. Cockroaches are afraid of scents

Cockroaches are the most difficult to deal with, but if you know how, killing cockroaches is not too difficult. You can cut a piece of soap into small pieces, put it in a box, fill it with water and place it where cockroaches often go.
Within a few days, you will be surprised because there are no traces of cockroaches in the house. If you want the effect to last, just add water regularly to the soap box.
In addition, you can apply the following methods to repel cockroaches:
- Place fresh cucumber peels or sliced onions in the house to repel cockroaches. After smelling this smell, cockroaches will run away immediately.
- Dissolve a certain amount of boric acid in hot water, wait for the water to cool and then use it to clean the house. After drying, white boric acid crystals will seep into the cracks on the floor to prevent cockroaches, ants, etc. from entering the house.
- Crush a piece of ice into small pieces or into powder and sprinkle it in places where cockroaches often go and put it in a small cloth bag inside clothes, blankets to prevent cockroaches from coming near.
- Dissolve an appropriate amount of detergent with water, use it to wipe the corners of the cabinet. This simple method can prevent cockroaches from coming to your house.
- Mix sugar with baking soda and place it in areas with many cockroaches. After about 3 - 14 days, the cockroaches will disappear.
- Put 3 spoons of sugar water in the box, add half a bowl of water and detergent and stir until dissolved. Place the box of solution where cockroaches often go. After the cockroaches smell the scent, they will crawl into the "trap" and die.
Although the above methods can repel ants, cockroaches and mosquitoes, the best way to repel them is to keep your living space clean. Therefore, you should regularly clean your house and arrange things neatly and tidily so that they have no place to hide.
