Rice Storage Made Easy: How to Prevent Weevils, Mold, and Spoilage
The Best Ways to Store Rice and Reduce the Risk of Mold and Insect Infestations
If you enjoy growing flowers or plants at home, don’t miss this simple gardening tip.
The method is very easy: cut the spoiled tomatoes into small pieces. Put them into a clean bottle, pour in rice-washing water, and let it sit for 3–5 days. You’ll get a natural fertilizer that is very good for plants.
Rice-washing water has long been known for its plant-nourishing properties. After fermenting with tomatoes, its nutritional value increases even more, helping plants sprout and bloom vigorously.
If you look closely at a rotten tomato, you’ll notice that although the outside is decayed, the seeds inside are still intact. So instead of throwing them away, you can use them to grow new plants.
You can slice the rotten tomatoes and place them in a prepared pot of soil, then cover them with a thin layer of soil. Be careful not to cover them too thickly, as it may affect seed germination. Finally, water lightly to keep the soil moist, place the pot on a balcony, and wait a few weeks for the seeds to sprout. Don’t forget to water regularly during this time.
Tomatoes are easy to grow and thrive as long as they have enough sunlight and moisture. So if you like planting in pots, use rotten tomatoes as seeds. You’ll not only have a lovely plant but also enjoy fresh, clean tomatoes.
The acetic acid in tomatoes is an effective natural cleaner that can help remove stains and restore shine to items like knives, faucets, and ceramic or metal sinks when they become yellowed.
Simply rub the rotten tomato onto the items you want to clean, wait about 10 minutes, then rinse with clean water and wipe dry with a cloth. After cleaning with tomatoes, knives and faucets will shine like new without using any chemicals.
Although rotten tomatoes have many household uses, you should avoid buying too many at once beyond your needs to prevent waste. Also, once tomatoes have started to rot, they should not be eaten. Don’t try to save them by cutting off the spoiled parts, as this may cause food poisoning.
