Cajun Steak Alfredo: A Spicy Delight

Ingredients
-
8 oz (225 g) fettuccine pasta
-
1 ribeye steak (10–12 oz / 280–340 g)
-
1 tablespoon olive oil
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 cup heavy cream
-
3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
-
1–1½ teaspoons Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
-
Salt, to taste
-
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
-
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
1. Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
2. Season and Cook the Steak
Pat the ribeye dry with paper towels. Season generously on both sides with Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for 3–4 minutes per side (for medium-rare), or cook to desired doneness.
Remove from heat and let the steak rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly against the grain.
3. Make the Alfredo Sauce
In the same skillet (lower heat to medium), add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in the heavy cream and let it gently simmer for 2–3 minutes.
Gradually stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with black pepper and adjust Cajun seasoning if needed.
4. Combine
Add the cooked fettuccine to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen it.
5. Serve
Plate the pasta, top with sliced Cajun steak, and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately.
