Classic Steakhouse Dinner Platter

1. Pan-Seared Steak
Ingredients

2 beef steaks (ribeye or sirloin, 2–3 cm thick)

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

1 tbsp olive oil
-
2 tbsp unsalted butter
-
2 cloves garlic, smashed
-
Fresh thyme or rosemary sprigs
Instructions
-
Remove steaks from the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking.

Pat dry and season generously with salt and black pepper.

Heat a heavy skillet over high heat and add olive oil.

Sear steaks for 3–4 minutes per side until a deep brown crust forms.

Add butter, garlic, and herbs. Tilt the pan and spoon butter over the steaks for 1–2 minutes.

Remove and rest steaks for 5–10 minutes before serving.
2. Creamy Mashed Potatoes
Ingredients

500 g potatoes, peeled and cubed

60 ml warm milk or cream
-
2 tbsp butter
-
Salt and pepper
-
Optional: extra butter for topping
Instructions

Boil potatoes in salted water until fork-tender (15–20 minutes).

Drain and mash until smooth.

Add warm milk and butter, mixing until creamy.

Season with salt and pepper.

Serve with a small pat of butter melting on top.
3. Roasted Brussels Sprouts
Ingredients

400 g Brussels sprouts, halved

2 tbsp olive oil

Salt and black pepper
-
Optional: grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions

Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).

Toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

Roast cut-side down for 20–25 minutes until caramelized and tender.

Sprinkle with Parmesan before serving if desired.
4. Classic Mac and Cheese
Ingredients

200 g elbow macaroni

2 tbsp butter
-
2 tbsp flour
-
300 ml milk
-
150 g cheddar cheese, grated

Salt and pepper
Instructions

Cook macaroni according to package instructions and drain.

Melt butter in a saucepan, add flour, and cook for 1 minute.

Slowly whisk in milk and cook until thickened.

Stir in cheese until melted and smooth.

Season and mix with cooked pasta.
5. Simple Caesar Salad
Ingredients

Romaine lettuce, chopped

Caesar dressing

Croutons

Grated Parmesan cheese

Toss lettuce with Caesar dressing until evenly coated.

Top with croutons and Parmesan.

Serve chilled.
Serving
Arrange the rested steak on a wooden board or plate with mashed potatoes, roasted Brussels sprouts, mac and cheese, and Caesar salad on the side. Serve immediately for a complete steakhouse-style meal.
