Foods that 'deplete' calcium in the b o d y

Eating these foods regularly will cause calcium in the body to decrease, causing negative effects on bones and joints.
1. Salty foods
Delicacies such as pickles, ham, instant noodles, etc., although attractive, are not good for health. They contain more sodium than the body needs. Sodium is the culprit that causes calcium deficiency in bones. Eating salty foods for a long time can increase the risk of osteoporosis. Research shows that for every 1000mg of sodium metabolized by the body, 26mg of calcium will be excreted at the same time. Thus, consuming a lot of sodium will accelerate the body's calcium loss process. An adult should only consume 5 grams of salt/day (according to the recommendations of the World Health Organization).
2. Fatty foods
Using foods high in fat can lead to a number of health problems, including hindering the body's absorption of calcium as well as accelerating the process of calcium loss. In the long run, it will lead to osteoporosis and other negative effects on bone health.
3. Soft drinks
Soft drinks may bring a refreshing, thirst-quenching feeling, but they pose many potential health risks. Drinking a lot of carbonated soft drinks has been shown to be associated with reduced bone density and an increased risk of fractures.
4. Foods rich in folic acid
Foods rich in folic acid also have a certain effect on the body's absorption of calcium. Folic acid combines with calcium in the body to form insoluble precipitates or solid calcium salts. This makes the body unable to absorb calcium and in the long run will lead to calcium deficiency.
5. Coffee
Coffee is a favorite drink of many people. It brings alertness thanks to its caffeine content. However, consuming too much coffee can affect the calcium in the body. The reason is that caffeine has the ability to stimulate, affecting the absorption of calcium in the intestine as well as increasing the rate of calcium excretion in the body. Therefore, you should only consume coffee in moderation.
6. Beef
Beef contains a lot of iron, protein, lipids... which are good for human health. However, if you eat a lot of beef, it will hinder the absorption of calcium nutrients in the body. The reason is that to digest the nutrients in beef, the human body needs to lose a large amount of calcium which is excreted through urine. Therefore, if you eat a lot of calcium, you will easily fall into a state of short stature and rickets.
7. Alcohol
Consuming a lot of alcohol has been shown to reduce bone density, reduce the formation of new bones, increase the rate of bone fractures, and reduce the rate of recovery after bone fractures. To keep your bones strong, you should only consume alcohol in moderation, that is, no more than 1 glass/day for women and no more than 2 glasses/day for men.
