Banana Pudding Rice Krispies





 

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal

  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter

  • 1 package (10 oz) mini marshmallows

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/2 cup banana pudding mix (instant)

  • 1/2 cup sliced bananas (optional, for garnish)

  • Whipped cream (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Melt the Butter and Marshmallows:

  • In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

  • Once the butter is melted, add the mini marshmallows to the pan and stir constantly until they are completely melted and smooth.

2. Add the Banana Pudding Mix and Vanilla:

  • Once the marshmallows are melted, remove the pan from the heat.

  • Stir in the banana pudding mix and vanilla extract until well combined.

3. Add the Rice Krispies:

  • Gradually fold in the Rice Krispies cereal, mixing well until the cereal is completely coated with the marshmallow mixture.

4. Press Into a Pan:

  • Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.

  • Transfer the Rice Krispie mixture to the dish and press it down gently to spread it evenly.

5. Cool and Set:

  • Let the Rice Krispies cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes, or until they are set.

6. Garnish and Serve:

  • If desired, garnish with sliced bananas and a dollop of whipped cream before serving for extra flavor and decoration.

Tips:

  • Storage: Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days.

  • Make it extra creamy: For a richer flavor, you can add a few tablespoons of heavy cream to the marshmallow mixture before adding the Rice Krispies.

  • Flavor variations: Try adding crushed graham crackers or chocolate chips for a twist on the classic Banana Pudding Rice Krispies!
