Smoked Salmon Cucumber Bites

Ingredients

Base

  • 1 large cucumber, sliced into thick rounds

  • 1 block cream cheese (softened)

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill

  • 1 tablespoon chopped chives

  • Salt & pepper to taste

Topping

  • 150 g (5 oz) smoked salmon, thinly sliced

  • Extra cream cheese (piped for decoration)

  • Fresh dill sprigs

  • Extra thin cucumber slices (optional for garnish)


Instructions

1. Prepare the cucumber base

  • Wash cucumber and cut into thick, even slices (about 1–1.5 cm).

  • Pat them dry with a paper towel so the toppings stick well.

2. Make the cream cheese mixture

In a bowl, mix:

  • Cream cheese

  • Lemon juice

  • Chopped dill

  • Chopped chives

  • Salt and pepper

Whip until smooth and fluffy.

3. Assemble the bites

  • Spread or pipe a small dollop of the cream cheese mixture onto each cucumber slice.

  • Add a small folded piece of smoked salmon on top.

  • Pipe a swirl of plain cream cheese over the salmon for decoration.

4. Add garnishes

  • Press in a small slice of cucumber vertically.

  • Add a little fresh dill and chopped chives on top.

  • Optionally: drizzle a tiny bit of olive oil or lemon zest.

5. Serve

Serve immediately for the freshest texture, or chill for up to 1 hour before serving.

Perfect for holiday parties, brunch, or elegant appetizers.
