Instructions

1. Prepare the Puff Pastry

Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).

Unroll the puff pastry sheet onto a lightly floured surface.

Cut the pastry into long strips about 1.5–2 cm wide.

Brush each strip lightly with pesto.

Sprinkle mozzarella or Parmesan cheese over the pesto.
2. Shape the Christmas Trees

Starting at the bottom, fold the pastry strip back and forth to create a tree shape, making each layer slightly narrower as it goes up.

Press lightly so the folds stick together.

Transfer each shaped pastry tree onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Brush the tops with egg wash for a golden finish.
3. Bake
