A man who recently moved house was shocked – but not entirely upset – to discover that his new house is absolutely covered in massive murals featuring characters from The Simpsons.
Of course, you’d ordinarily actually go to a house before renting it, but these aren’t normal times we’re living in, are they?
Nowadays, prospective buyers and renters have to take video tours, and they might miss out things like – oh, let’s say – a gigantic Bart Simpson painted on a gable wall.
However, that’s exactly what Charlie Lucas-Smith discovered when he tipped up to his new property in Brighton.

He went on Google Street View four days before moving in to check out his new pad, and spotted that it is absolutely covered in Simpsons paintings.
Despite this, the music business student actually reckons that the murals are great, and described the house as ‘right up my street’.
See what you did there, Charlie.

He explained: “I wanted to see if there were any parking spaces, and when I put the address into Google Maps it suddenly sunk in where I was living.

“I sent a photo of it in the group chat and said ‘surely we’re not living here’.
“Luckily, it’s right up my street at the end of the day and something I find really funny, and I’ve always been a massive fan of The Simpsons.”

Among the paintings – as well as that aforementioned Bart on the side wall – is a giant Homer Simpson that wraps around the house, surrounded by donuts and holding a spray canister.
The name of the street – Hartington Road – has been expertly changed to Bartington.

Charlie continued: “You can hear people pointing it out as they walk past the house, and I overheard someone say to their friend the other day, ‘this house is jokes’.

“We’ve got a massive window in the living room right underneath the Homer mural and people are constantly looking in to see what kind of people live in somewhere like this.
“I’ve had a few friends over to see me since I’ve moved in and the first thing they do is mention that.”
As it happens, there are actually a few cartoon houses in Brighton – they’re the brainchild of a street artist called Aroe.

Elsewhere in the city there’s a Family Guy property, as well as homages to Adventure Time and Rick and Morty.
It’s certainly a unique home, that’s for sure.
